There are several reasons why I love being at home with my daughter, but here are the latest, just for fun.
1) The random, all of the sudden tight snuggle hugs I get with and "I wuv u, mommy."
2)The snippets of her favorite books that she has memorized and lets out in the middle of whatever we happen to be doing at the time. "MY hot dog!" from the Pigeon finds a Hotdog...."Skippy John Jones!!!" "Chicken Soup with Rice!"
"Hmmmm...needs mustard." etc. Such fun!
3) The meeps I get (thank you, Mom for showing her how to do it right- I love it!) at the store, on the phone, while reading books...and the fact that she gives them to friends and family alike at random times of her choosing. She grabs both sides of my face and holds it still while she presses her nose into mine and says,"Meeeeeeeeeeep!" it's the first thing she does when she wakes up in the morning.
4) The painting. I love painting with her. I love that she loves it and asks for it nad paints with fun and enthusiasm.
5) "Bye Friends!!!!" every time we leave the nursery.
6) The daily list, each day at lunch time, of who loves May. "Daddy? Loves you!...Mommy? Loves you! Pop-pop? Loves you!" I say," Who else loves you?" and she says"Jesus!...Pray!!!! pray!!!!"
Thank you, Lord, for this precious gift of a child that you letus keep for one more day each day we wake up with her. We love her and enjoy her and are SO grateful for the joy she brings to us.
