Today is Valentine's Day! Chris is a day ahead and he sent these on the 13th (yesterday) so the he could feel happy about doing something on his Valentine's Day. We usually don't do much for this holiday in particular. No reason, really, it just isn't important and we feel silly making one day stand out, but this year is different. Our circumstances make this year special and what a wonderful and beautiful surprise came knocking at my door at 8:30am. Not necessarily the roses (Although those are beautiful) but the fact that my husband still thinks of me and thinks me worth flattering, thinking about, and worth a bit of splurging once in a while. How I love him and his tenderness to me. I am so grateful to have made it through the almost five years of marriage that we have under our belts. This past year, although some may say it has been filled with challenges harder than the rest, has been our best year together. God alone is to thank for that, along with my husband's patient and forgiving heart.
Happy Valentine's Day to all of you who read this blog. May yours be filled with as much tenderness and thoughtful affection on both sides as mine is promising to be.
