I will need more time to give a full explanation of the move to Corona. Suffice it to say that is was a VERY hard week and we were all so glad that it was over. We went to this nifty little place for pancakes on Saturday morning. They have GREAT breakfast food.
We sat next to a very nice couple who commented on how cute May was (a shoe-in for anyone wanting to be immediate friends with us lately...)
The man (we never found out their names) used to work in Palmdale on F-22 planes and Chris and he got to talking. They found out that Chris was going to Korea for the year and thanked him for serving. On their way out, the couple asked what our names were so they could pray for us. They wished us a Merry Christmas and walked out.
A bit later, as we were getting ready to leave, Chris asked the server for our check and she told us that the couple seated next to us paid for our breakfast. We were so moved by that. Who on Earth does that kind of thing anymore?!!! Two perfect strangers had a polite conversation with us and decided to pay for our meal!!!
It was the coolest thing...what an encouragement to us. We thanked God for that couple and had sushi on Sunday (where Chris was thanked for serving in the military again by another kind stranger.)
All in all, it was a frantic visit, fraught with moving, but I am so glad that Chris got to come home for a few weeks. It was hard, but there were a VERY few moments where he was mine and I was his and no one else was in the equation. We prayed and laughed and wore ourselves out. It was nice to see him. And hard to say good bye again.
Come up for breakfast if you have a chance. I'll have plenty of time.

it's GOOD that it was hard to say goodbye!
